[Catalyst] Writing a model and authentication

Excuse some primitive questions. I'm trying to understand the way Catalyst 
works.

I'll try to add Business::Bof as a Catalyst model at some point in the future. 
I wonder if there exist some useful documentation for making a new model?

Bof has its own authentication. Is authentication part of the model in 
Catalyst,  or is it easy to implement an authentication method that will use 
the model?
