[Catalyst] Http::Prototype

hi,
  i found jin the prototype we have this function:
  $prototype->link_to_remote(...);
   
  Can I use this to do something like: select an item in a select box, the function will send the XMLhttpRequest to the server and send back the result into another select box. If it is possible, please give me some tip or example.
