I'm afraid not. But this is not really a Catalyst problem anyway, is it?
It would have been better to post this to the CDBI mailing list if it is
something CDBI-related, if it is something CDBI::Loader-related (your
debug may lead to this impression), then you might want to contact the
CDBI::Loader::mysql maintainer (sri).

Alternatives might be:
- Switching to DBIC
- Switch to Catalyst::Model::CDBI::Plain and setup your model classes
yourself
