[Catalyst] Is it normal to have lots of trouble installing catalyst?

Indeed, PPM support has improved (and I'm much grateful to all who provided
this service), but shouldn't we strive to offer the Catalyst site as a
"Single Point of Service" to all those interested? Especially if we hold
Catalyst to be simple and easy to install and configure?
