[Catalyst] HTML Controls

Hi,

at work, I see all those little ASP .NET programmers and they all like there
HTML controls.
It's like magic for them and sometimes it is for me also (even though i know
that behind it's just HTML/Javascript/Ajax).
But it fits nice into the APSX Templates and i thought it would be nice to
have controls in some sort of way (maybe as a
plugin for an existing template system or ....

Any ideas?
What do you think about?
