[Catalyst] forgotten logins

Hi list,

my app sessions work now, login works but it seems the logged in user is 
not tied to the session.
In my template I check for c.req.user to see if the user is logged in. 
If the user is logged in no login form is displayed but a link to the 
users profile.
This only works when I login, when I click one link in the website I get 
the login form back.

So is this the correct way of checking or did I make a mistake in my app?
