[Catalyst] TT and UNICODE: Garbled special characters

I believe, i found the a way to handle the encoding problems
* create project with catalyst.pl MyApp
* setup your editor to use UTF8 as *default encoding* (i am using
Eclipse with the EPIC plugin. In Eclipse you can set the project
default encoding)
* optionally use utf8; in the Perl file headers (was not required for me)

If doing so,
* you can just enter any characters in the Perl-Files and Templates
(e.g. Chinese)
* You don't have to worry with *character/byte* issue, that Matt
Lawrence has mentioned

Caveat: i did not check the database output yet. Will do so within the
next days.
