[DBD-SQLite] might Alien::Base be useful to DBD::SQLite development?

You may be right, and I didn't say there was just one solution.  I hadn't heard 
about the above one though, thanks for pointing it out.

That being said, unless they are ignorant of the above module as I was, the url 
I pointed to about Alien::Base has already gotten some responses including some 
more prominent people saying it may have a big impact, so maybe they know 
something I don't.

My main point, however, is that tools are becoming available to exist which may 
let DBD::SQLite be a much more lite wrapper.  I make no strong judgements to 
their utility however, just something to look at.
