[Dbix-class] Manual Example: why the prefetch'es ?

I was re-reading the DBIx::Class Manual/Example.pod again, and 
decided I still don't understand.

In two example routines
get_tracks_by_cd()
and
get_cds_by_artist()
are added prefetch clauses, fetching the join'ed table's values.  But 
then values from the prefetched tables aren't (apparently) used.

I am confused on this?
