Ok, folks: I need one-paragraph potted biographies from each of you,  
by Monday evening.

Mine, by way of example:

Mike Whitaker lost his last job because they didn't think Perl was  
equal to the problems the company had to solve. Yahoo! UK fortunately  
had other ideas, and he's now developing parts of their internal CMS  
(largely in Perl, of course), evangelizing modern Perl to his  
colleagues and talking about Moose and Enlightened Perl at any  
available opportunity.
