[Epo-members-announce] Send a Newbie Program

At London Perl Workshop this year I was able to talk to Edmund previous 
head of the send a newbie program and provisionally accept his request 
for EPO to take over this program. Rosallyn Thompson has agreed to do 
the leg work on this and she is going to be your first point of call - I 
will act as help/mentor/problem-splatter for her but I am very confident 
in her ability to run with this project on our behalf and make it 
succcessful.

As requested by our members, and quite rightly, we will be dropping any 
age restriction on the requests for the send-a-newbie. This is a 
no-brainer really we shouldn't be setting conditions such as this. I 
would expect there to be priorities if we have many applications, but 
age shouldn't be a bar to entry.

If anyone wants to help out then just raise your hand and say so now. I 
think Rosallyn will also be approaching business owners on this list for 
donations and we will try to get all of that set up as soon as possible, 
so stay tuned
