I took a look at it, and the messages disappeared once he configured 
formfu to use catalyst's localization -- the messages returned once we 
added the contents of formfu's localization to the catalyst app.

Full disclosure: Kewei works in the same office as I do, and I have him 
looking at updating a number of app to use HTML::FormFu rather than our 
very ugly use of Catalyst::Plugin::FillInForm, 
Catalyst::Plugin::FormValidator, plus some homebrew components for DBIC 
integration.
