Yes field sets can be nested. While this is possible, the current 
implementation doesn't allow deeply nested widgets - it currently only 
nests one level deep. Before we change this behavior we'd need 
discussion from other users and developers (Carl or Sri - any thoughts?)

At the very least, do you fancy putting together a test (patch or new 
file more likely) for this format?
