I think it's a great idea. I like jQuery a lot, but haven't really used any 
other JavaScript libraries (or "JS frameworks" as people call them).

Well, I would prefer if the web-site depended on JS as little as possible. If 
you want to add JS stuff to enhance the user experience while degrading 
gracefully, that's fine. But which XML::RSS functionality do you want to 
replace?
