my question still stands only it's already October. I recall being recommended
against writing a patch for learn.perl.org because there was a plan underway.
That was back in January. Then I was told there had been some kind of DDoS
attack which had to be overcome. But now what?
Am I the only one who cares about making learn.perl.org less pathetic than it
is? I've been hard at work on improving http://perl-begin.org/ and made many
useful additions including http://perl-begin.org/tutorials/bad-elements/ and
http://perl-begin.org/learn/perl6/ and many new topical or uses pages . I
would love to incorporate everything from there (or everything that is
considered to be of merit) into learn.perl.org , but since I started working
on Perl-Begin and offered my help in improving learn.perl.org, I've ran into
almost nothing except hoops of red tape, politics, and foot-dragging.
If anyone wishes to reuse and build upon Perl-Begin, they are free to so do by
abiding with the incredibly liberal terms of the Creative Commons Attribution
Licence ( CC-by ). So you don't even have to ask me for permission as long as
you give me credit.
