[Catalyst] setting/getting session data from within tests

I have done on the current site, but dropped it in favour of a
language neutral page that you need to click through:

http://www.engoi.com/public/menu.cgm

 The problem is that so many people don't set preferences in their
browsers, at least according to apocryphal evidence.

I'm thinking about a hack to try to determine geography by IP, in the
absence of session data, for future. I think this would be a lot
better than browser settings.
