[Catalyst] latest catalyst on perl 5.9.5

hello,

I've installed perl 5.9.5,  with latest Catalyst and latest DBIC  
(fresh from scratch, no upgrade)
everything is running fine,
except if I have a syntax error in a file, I get

or if I start the test server

Unknown error
Compilation failed in require at (eval 86) line 3.
Compilation failed in require at script/test_server.pl line 53.

NO description of the error, NO line number.

what could be wrong here?
