I like it a lot, with the exception of the brownish red that
dominates the top of the page: it clashes with the Cat logo
colours. As you said, there is also a bunch of changes that
should be made, but I think the direction is good.

Main issue on the page itself: the left column of the footer
needs to be the main content on the home page. The About blurb is
too long, and I’m ambivalent about the Success Stories. The
homepage needs to be targetted at people who know nothing about
Catalyst and it needs to show how to get answers to three main
questions (and answer them super briefly itself):

• What is this?
• Why do I want it?
• I’m sold, where do I start?

Main issue I have with the chrome: the “Community” link in the
navigation, given the presence of the “Wiki” and “Blog” links.
It’s not clear what sort of information will be there that’s not
relevant to the other sections. It’s probably better to make a
“Blog/Wiki/Lists/IRC” cluster of links. (I also find people will
do things like put “Support”, “Contact” and “Mailing Lists” on
their navigation, leaving me with no idea which I really want.
Another one that often shows up is “Development”, where every
single project puts different information, so I never know
whether I want to see that page.)
