DBIC 0.08250 can't be considered old (in the DBIC dev-cycle sense). And 
upgrading a DBD is often out of the question entirely due to devops 
constraints. Incidentally this is why DBIC goes to very great lengths to 
work around old DBD bugs, instead of refusing to work with them.
