NOTE: resent this to the epo-core list, as mst thinks it is more
appropriate place to hold the converstaion

Robert, Jesse, Matt, All,

So I got an email from Robert and they are interested in re-thining/
working the perl.org design, and I thought we (the other interested
parties) should start discussing what we could do about this.

My suggestions are as follows:

* submit for a TPF grant to get a professional designer to work on
the Perl "Brand" as well as design some templates for us. $work does
quite a bit of work with NYC ad agencies so I have a number of really
good contacts for this type of thing.

* Content is the hard part, but I think we could leverage the great
perl community for this. If we come up with a high level information
architecture, and define a set of content "buckets" that need to be
filled, we can put it to the community at large to help fill these
buckets. With lots of small tasks and eternal glory promised to all
who contribute in the form of a "contributors" page, I suspect we
could keep enough excitement going to fill in a fair portion of the
site. Obviously we will need an editor to clean everything up, but it
would at least be a start.

Okay, thats all I got for a sunday morning and only a 1/2 cup of
coffee in me so far.

Thoughts?

- Stevan
