To be honest, I'm not entirely sure. I haven't yet started rewriting the
catalyst helpers for 1.0, and from the results of my attempts to write a
custom storage class, I still have some Storage/Iterator/Result
refactoring to do.

Most of the already generated code should work if you load
Handel::Compat into the model classes. This will keep the calls to
new/load/items happy. The other thing that may be an issue is the
connection information in the models.
