[Handel] subclassing order

Hi,

I have been reading the documentation on Handel::Storage and Handel::Order 
etc., trying to figure out how to use add_columns to add an attribute to the 
handel classes.  But up to now, I couldn't figure out how it is supposed to 
work.  Well actually I would like to use a subclass of e.g. order_items and 
add a field called weight (to calculate shipping price).  I am still using 
version 0.33.
Can someone point me in the right direction?
